Interface Example

Interface Finished Example

Difficulty : Very Easy

Time Req : About 10 minutes.

Quite the long title huh.  If you don’t know what I mean by “Futuristic Interface Sprites” then I suggest checking out the example image to the right.  I, myself, could not come up with a better name for it because for one I have no idea what it would be called in the first place.  If someone knows, let me know please.

Pen Logo Example

Time Requirement : About 10 minutes (if you get it right the first time).

Another one here for you guys.  I’ve used this method to create some abstract logos time and time again.  You will never get the same result twice unless you are made of magic in which case you wouldn’t be watching these ridiculous videos would you…?

Be sure to check out the example I have created to the right.

Example of Stars

Difficulty : Very Easy

Example of “finished” product to the right.

Here’s a quick tutorial on making simple stars for any kind of project you may be working on.  To me, the simple tutorials (like this) are the ones that will stick with you over time and are very easy to remember.

This kind of thing is something you will use for a long time, has many uses and applications and like I said; very easy to remember.

Free Photo Uploaders

by amp on Dec.16, 2009, under Web Resources

Most of us have experience with this.  You want to show someone a picture but have no where to upload it.CompyMcPuter

You will stumble upon (most likely) one of the most popular; Imageshack.

There are others, just have to know where to look.  Best one for me that I have used is “CompyMcPuter”.

Give it a shot.

Create Slideshows Easily (Using “Ken Burns” effect)

by amp on Oct.05, 2009, under Pro Tips, Web Resources

screenshotEveryone loves slideshows; especially when they use the “Ken Burns” effect (Watch demo here).  They fit nearly every occasion.

Funerals, High School Graduations, Proms…okay maybe not Funerals so much but you get the point.  You want to make a slideshow with the tons and tons of photos you and your friends have taken to remember the “good ‘ol days”.

Free software for Linux and Windows can help you do it extremely easily.  It’s called “PhotoFilmStrip“.

“PhotoFilmStrip creates movies out of your pictures in just 3 steps.  First select your photos, customize the motion path and render the video.  There are several output possibilities for VCD, SVCD, DVD up to Full HD.”

Download PhotoFilmStrip here.
