About Us
TXLANS was founded by a LAN Team in San Antonio, TX.
We all used to work together and met each other in training for a company called “2Wire” where we provided tech support for AT&T’s Cable, Internet, and Phone Service dubbed U-Verse. Since then we have been a close group and team of gamers and friends.
TXLANS is based on Local LAN Parties for/by gamers who are all (for the most part) PC Techs and know what they are talking about when it comes to computer repair and troubleshooting. We have all built our own PCs as well as many other peoples.
Our organization is dependant on group activity and friendship as well as run for the same reasons. We are active on the forums and games online as well as offline in our own lives.
TXLANS has been planned to be a forum, Local LAN team for multiple games, and an all around way to find people in TX who live near yourself that you can meet, get to know, and game with.
We plan on having many members in the forums from all over TX so that you may search by location, find people near you, and possibly get together for some good gaming.
Our local group in San Antonio has had a few parties in the past which have all been quite successful. Our LAN parties often include lots of food, various alcohols (of course!), and plenty of screaming and laughing throughout the night.
Gaming over WAN is fun, Gaming over LAN is better and we can all agree on this.
If you would like to add your LAN Center to our list or you are searching for a local gamer or team to play with, sign up in our forums and introduce yourself, your team, LAN center, or over-all gaming intentions.
