Watch for Steam Scammers

It’s a shame there have been a large influx of people on Steam trying to phish out other peoples accounts. I have since come across a few that have entered our group and I will ban or kick each from the group accordingly.
Tips : Don’t click on anything from anyone you don’t know. This is the surest way to be safe.
I know these are just made to look like legit steam community logon pages and they don’t really do any kind of malware injections but that’s the best way to keep anything from happening.

I have already reported him to the web host and he has been promptly removed from their hosting. I have also reported him to Valve and Steam accordingly.
If you get a phishing message from anyone in the group, please report them to me via Steam, IRC (#txlans @ gamesurge), or email if you know it. Of course, flood their database or email with as many fake logins as you can. This makes it more fun.

Just fyi, If you enter your password at this site, it immediately logs onto your profile and sends the link to people on your friends list. I got it from a freind and didnt think anything of opening it. You will be blocked out of your profile for a short time. When you try to log on, it will say your profile is in use on another computer. I am a member of the fkw clan. I wrote up a full post on it there if anyones interested (www.fkwclan.com)on the general forum. Btw, as soon as I realized I got hacked, I tried to change my steam password. This seems to be the trigger…my computer crashed immediately after hitting enter after changing it. Please let as many people in game know to save them the hassle of this thing! I still dont know how much damage has been done yet…..
